Michael Cahill is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Florida, and he is licensed to practice law in both the State of Florida and in Washington, D.C. Since graduating cum laude with his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2000, he has become a member of numerous courts and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Florida Circuit Court in and for the Sixth Judicial Circuit.

Prior to attending law school, Michael had an active career in the financial services and insurance industries. He served as the assistant controller and assistant vice president of Raymond James & Associates, where he managed a team of accountants who prepared financial statements for various business entities approaching $1 billion in consolidated revenues. Michael has held multiple insurance and securities licenses over the years, and this knowledge and experience is beneficial to his legal clients today.

Michael Cahill is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Stetson University College of Law where he has taught two courses: Federal Taxation of Estates, Trusts and Gifts and Retirement Planning. Michael enjoys learning as well as teaching and in August 2010, he graduated from the University of Alabama with his LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation. This continued involvement in legal education allows Michael to maintain a current perspective on his client's legal and tax issues.

Currently, Michael practices law at Cahill Law Firm, P.A. in St. Petersburg, Florida, where his practice is focused in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, Taxation, and Real Estate transactions. Michael and his staff are dedicated to providing excellent service and legal counsel in a comfortable environment. Clients are treated like family and receive personal attention to their needs.
